As mentioned before, Little Big Man, was a strong example of post-modernist culture. I enjoyed the movie immensely because of the back and forth aspect of Dustin Hoffman’s character. He was never able to decide which life he enjoyed living; in the white world or in the native world. What I learned most from this movie is how deep the roots of post-modernism are when discussing rejection and reversal themes. The movie exemplified the idea that you can’t change people. You can influence them for a little while but eventually they will revert back to old habits. I have a more in-depth understanding of analysis, and now when I look at other movies I can distinguish bits and pieces as being influenced by post-modern culture.
